Jaimie + Chad:: A Very Special Day

As I write this post there are so many things I want to say but I am not sure where to begin….

August 15, 2009

This day was special for so many reasons (those who know me know why), but mostly because on this day two people decided to make a commitment to be together for the rest of their lives.

They decided that even when things get tough, their love will overcome.

They decided that they will have faith that at the end of the day, everything will be okay.

They decided that even when one of them wants to beat the other into a pulp, that they won’t.

Oops! Talking about my own husband again…sorry….

(just kiddding honey!) 🙂

Guests came from all over the country (and even Canada!) to witness Jaimie and Chad place rings on each other’s fingers. So we gathered around at the beach… and as soon as the ceremony music started, the world was as it should be.  Jaimie had never looked more stunning than she did at that moment as her father led her in the sand, wind blowing, and towards her groom. Like I said, it was the perfect day.

Jaimie and Chad said their “I dos” and off we went to have a little fun! I LOVE how Jaimie and Chad were up for anything! I even got them to go into the ocean a bit (and incidentally I got hit by a wave- but it was SO worth it) This was a great crowd to photograph and I still can’t believe how incredibly nice everyone was to me! I truly felt like I was a part of their family that day. And as I write this Jaimie and Chad are in JAMAICA on their honeymoon after a stop in California to try and make an appearance on “The Price Is Right” – how freakin cool is THAT!!! (did you guys get on??? anyone have an update???)

Liz- thank you for making the road trip with me to Myrtle Beach and for all the help and support you gave- it was great to have the girl time and I wouldn’t have had it any other way 🙂

Jaimie and Chad- I just want to say thank you for everything. For being so welcoming, for having fun in front of the camera, but most of all for trusting me to document the most important day of your life. Truly, it was my honor.

moments before the ceremony…

most beautiful wedding “aisle” ever….

doesn’t she look absolutely beautiful???

i love the two chairs behind them

before the ceremony started, there were concerns about all the spectators on the beach. i look at this picture and laugh…because at the time there were so many people that we were worried about the pictures. and now looking back on all of them- i LOVE the people in the background. it portrays in so many ways exactly how the day was…there were people on their balconies, lined along the shoreline, watching from their towels….it was unreal to see so many people smiling all at once for a wedding where they knew no one! so in the end…i love the people in the background….it adds character 🙂

this picture just makes me laugh. it is so them  🙂

maid of honor’s toast…so cute…

chad’s  jaimie’s dad carved these toast glasses himself out of wood for their wedding. pretty amazing, huh?

i thank jess for loaning her hair to this picture…it just wouldn’t be the same without it….

as Chad started to take off her garter belt, Jaimie’s grandma bolted to the dance floor and had some words with him!!! hilarious….

Astrid, these pics are gorgeous! I cant wait to see the other ones, I think Jaimie is going to burn them onto a cd for me..
You had asked if they got onto the Price is Right, and unfortunately they didnt.. apparently both shows were full.
I also wanted to comment that the goblets that were made for the wedding were made by Jaimie’s father.
These pictures are absolutely stunning, they are the first ones that I’ve seen of the ceremony!

Wow!!! Great pictures, what a beautiful day! I really like that first one on the beach in black and white. Jaimie you look stunning, Chad you look not bad yourself, either. Congrats to you two, and I can’t wait to see your ‘Jammin’ pictures when you get back from Jamaica.

Astrid, you were a wonderful addition to our wedding. Its nice to have had you as our photographer, but even better that we have gained a friend.
