The Sticklers:: Mike, Lori, Brady, and Peggy Pancake!!!

The crazy thing is that they started dating in high school. Even crazier is that now…who knows how many years later….Mike and Lori have graduated college, bought their first home, and have just had their second child. It’s the stuff out of the movies. The entire family is like one really good looking episode of The Brady Bunch. I mean really- either be good looking, or be really good at all sports. But you aren’t allowed to be BOTH. (and when I am talking good looking I am actually talking about Lori- sorry Mike 🙂 )

Okay I have gone wayyy off track here….so like I was saying….this family is especially near and dear to my heart….because they are part of this family and this family! They are one of those families that just know how to balance being married, raising kids, and having FUN!! Definitely something that I hope to learn how to do someday far far away 😉

Anyways, we scheduled a lifestyle session while in Florida and the kids were just too cute that I went a little overboard with the picture taking. Especially with little Mackenzie (i’m a sucker for girls) So this is a little longer post than usual, but enjoy!

Mike and Lori- thanks for letting me stalk your children with my camera for two weeks- till next year!!!

here is Brady- so cute at just 4 months!!!

Her real name is Mackenzie….her parents call her Mackie…..

us aunts call her Peggy Pancake 🙂

Peggy decided she was going to go everywhere with her new Christmas presents including her new backpack for school!

The “B” Family :: A Lifestyle Session!

I spent Saturday morning with this awesome family! Seriously…as soon as I walked in the door I was offered a mug of coffee and I even stayed around and had brunch with the family after the shoot! So incredibly nice 🙂

This family just makes me laugh. Lieu and Chuck are awesome parents who started out the session by warning me that “they had the most insane kids on earth” hahaha….but I was ready for the challenge! We walked around their neighborhood with the whole family (including their super cute dog, Maggie!) and then came back home where I played with the kids on my own while Lieu and Chuck made us breakfast!!! I definitely got my workout in between running after the kids and negotiating smiles for cookies…all in all…so. much. fun.

Hope you enjoy!!

little Ryan is super cute….for every 10 pictures he gave me i played a game of “fall tag”….no wonder i woke up sore the next day! 🙂

i love the fall colors in this pictures…little Tien looks so sweet

there were a few tears…they didn’t last long…but she just looked so helpless and cute i couldn’t help but take a few shots…

i. love. fall. and these next pictures are why….

trying to get two parents, two kids, and a dog to all sit and smile with eyes open all at the same time is always interesting….this picture just makes me giggle….

i stole mom and dad away for a few moments…

Pisterzi Family :: Lifestyle Session

I was invited into the home of the Pisterzi family last weekend for a lifestyle session and these kids were so fun to spend the day with! Started out with hot dogs for lunch, playing around in their backyard….then over to Justice where the girls got to go shopping and then we all ended at a marina.

Nicole, Gabrielle and Dominic were up for anything and I loved it! This session was also part of Nicole’s 13th birthday present…she wants to model and be an actress so we even got to do a little mini session for her.

So glad we got to visit and I can’t wait until the next time they are in town! Here are some pictures!

40 and F’n Fabulous.

Let’s be honest. When I agreed to shoot Karen’s 40th birthday party last weekend, I had no idea what I was getting myself into…

I mean by 40…everything is more dignified, right? Maybe they’ll go to a nice wine bar and have some merlot? Followed by dinner and a show and into bed by 11.

YEAH RIGHT!!! Not these group of ladies!!! 🙂

We had (and yes…we….myself included!)

Let me backtrack…last weekend was Karen’s 40th birthday. She had approached me a few weeks ago about booking a family session. In the meantime, her friends ALSO approached me about surprising her for her 40th birthday with a photographer for a night out on the town. But they made me promise not to let her book the family session before her birthday. So, I kept everything hush…and everytime I ran into her with her friends (we belong to the same gym) I pretended not to know them.

So…lo and behold….this is how her 40th birthday party was born…

These ladies were H-O-T!!! They were hilarious and so much fun to hang out with for the night! And since most of them are moms, of course we were fully prepared with coolers full of water, snacks and energy drinks for the bus rides from place to place 🙂

Started off at Jacksons in Reston Town Center….then off to Wildfire in Tysons….and away to the Waterfront in Georgetown….before we finally made it back home.

What a night I tell you, what a night.

and now some of the ladies behind the scheming…

birthday girl

thank you ladies for such a fun girls night!

A Slideshow!

So…remember that Girls Day I had with Rochi and Dani? Well…I made a fun slideshow out of it!!!

Enjoy 🙂
